Works In Progress
A collection of works in progress in no particular order.
Watercolour painting of a fox eyeing up a mouse. Started this in January of 2024 but never got round to finishing it. May pick it up again when I feel emboldened enough.
No particular meaning, I just like silly goofy animals. Part of a collection of watercolour paintings I wanted to make.
Another watercolour painting, started this one in around 2023 I think. Was meant to be a squirrel in a mushroom forest but I think I just couldn't settle on what I wanted the background to look like.
If I ever do decide, I'd love to pick it up again, or start over entirely! An unfinished digital piece from 2024. Honestly, not sure what I was going for here. Clearly some kind of strange, pink dream-space where a cat is chasing some poor robin down a flight of stairs.
I don't completely dislike it however, the pinks do offer a kind of cosy warmth and the brush I used adds good texture. I just don't know what to do with this drawing.
This one may just stay in the realm of non-completion for that very reason, permanently. An oldddd watercolour painting of a fox being suffocated by mice. Not too sure when I started this painting, but I imagine it was back around 2020, if not older.
While I still love the concept, the artwork is quite dated. I would definitely not be continuing this piece.
I would however love to re-imagine it as some point, as I believe the idea holds merit.A pencil sketch of what should be another to-be watercolour painting. Got a lot of those, haven't I?
But yeah, fox within greenery, drawn either at the tail-end of 2023, or the start of 2024, also part of the collection of watercolour paintings I wanted to make.
Yet another pencil sketch that is also a part of that watercolour fox collection I wanted to create.
Not much to say here, just a fox in a cave. I feel like a lot of the beauty is lost when the fox isn't up-close and personal.
There's probably more WIPs and sketches hiding around my files somewhere, buuut these are all I can find for now.
Might finish these in the future, might not, I do think it's important to hold onto our old and unfinished works, as they can help us inform our future works.
I think it's important at least. It's nice to witness improvement over the years.
